West Coast DockDogs® Competition

What happens when you run a dog off a 40 foot “Dock” at top speed, letting him splash into 27,000 gallons of water?  You have DockDogs®, one of the fastest growing sports in the dog world.  It’s a competition to see which dog can jump the farthest into the pool.

The DockDogs officials will use an advanced digital video capture, with a digitally enhanced measurement system developed by ESPN for use during the Olympics, to get the precise measurement for where the dog’s hind-end lands in the pool.  The competition starts each day at 10 AM and continues throughout the day, with “waves” of dogs competing, ending with the finals on Sunday evening.

They're back for another high-jumping, dog-soaking year!

You’ll also get to see the “Extreme Vertical” competition, where the dog’s chase object is put on a pulley that takes it straight up in the air, all designed to see which dog can jump the highest before splashing down into the pool.
