What happens when you run a dog off a 40 foot “Dock” at top speed, letting him splash into 27,000 gallons of water? You have DockDogs®, one of the fastest growing sports in the dog world. It’s a competition to see which dog can jump the farthest into the pool.
The DockDogs officials will use an advanced digital video capture, with a digitally enhanced measurement system developed by ESPN for use during the Olympics, to get the precise measurement for where the dog’s hind-end lands in the pool. The competition starts each day at 10 AM and continues throughout the day, with “waves” of dogs competing, ending with the finals on Sunday evening. |
They're back for another high-jumping, dog-soaking year!
You’ll also get to see the “Extreme Vertical” competition, where the dog’s chase object is put on a pulley that takes it straight up in the air, all designed to see which dog can jump the highest before splashing down into the pool.
